WHERE HISTORY MEETS MODERN THINKING.

THE CLIENT.

BLETCHLEY PARK.

Bletchley Park, the historic home of British codebreaking, recently expanded its event offering with the launch of the Fellowship Auditorium — a state-of-the-art space designed for conferences, talks and corporate events. Blending modern facilities with a rich heritage backdrop, it gives organisations a chance to host events in a setting unlike anywhere else.

THE BRIEF.

CAPTURING THE ENERGY.

In November 2024, Bletchley Park hosted the inaugural National Intelligence History Conference (NIHC), in partnership with GCHQ. The three-day event brought together historians, academics and intelligence professionals for talks, panels and networking. It also marked the first major use of Bletchley Park’s new conference facilities.

Our original brief was to produce a short promotional video capturing the energy of the NIHC and showcasing the character of the venue to attract future attendees. But by making the most of our time on-site, we were able to go further.

Using additional footage captured during the day, we also created a second video. This standalone promo focused on the new Fellowship Auditorium and surrounding event spaces. It was designed to help Bletchley Park attract corporate event bookers, with footage highlighting the venue’s features and flexibility.

THE APPROACH.

NATURAL & UNOBTRUSIVE.

We aimed to film the event in a way that felt natural and unobtrusive, capturing the day as it happened without disrupting sessions. Ahead of the shoot, we worked with the Bletchley Park team to plan the schedule, prioritising key talks, spaces and a mix of must-have and nice-to-have moments. In the end, we captured everything on the list and more, including over ten attendee testimonials.

Footage was shot in a relaxed, documentary style, showcasing areas like the Fellowship Auditorium, classrooms, breakout spaces and the historic grounds. This helped bring the full delegate experience to life, not just the talks but the setting and atmosphere too.

For the Fellowship Auditorium promo, we built on the wider footage bank to tell a clear story of the space from a corporate events perspective. From arrival and welcome to catering, networking and speaker moments, the edit was designed to feel polished but real, offering a clear view of what the venue can offer.

“From the outset, the team quickly understood our goals and worked collaboratively to bring them to life. They were a pleasure to work with, professional, creative, and responsive throughout. Their ability to capture both the energy of the conference and the unique character of our venue was outstanding. We’re delighted with the final videos, which have already become valuable tools in our marketing efforts. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again or recommend them to anyone looking for help on a similar project.”

THE IMPACT.

MORE THAN JUST A HISTORIC SITE.

What started as a single video project became two distinct deliverables, both created from the same filming day. The NIHC video is set to support the promotion of future conferences, while the Fellowship Auditorium promo will be used on the Bletchley Park website and in outreach to potential corporate event bookers. Together, they position Bletchley Park as more than just a historic site. It is now a professional venue offering something genuinely different — a place where past and future meet..
