THE CLIENT.
BaxterStorey, the UK’s leading independent hospitality provider, are reshaping how their teams approach key development conversations. They needed four animated videos to cover Individual Development Plans (IDPs), One-to-Ones, Goal Setting, and Feedback, all designed to feel positive, practical, and inclusive.
THE PROJECT.
These topics can often feel formal or daunting, so the aim was to help people see them differently: as everyday tools to support their growth, not tick-box exercises to dread. The videos also needed to be branded but remain generic enough to have the potential to work across the wider group of businesses. We partnered with BaxterStorey from start to finish, developing scripts, designing the look and feel, building storyboards, sourcing voiceover talent, and producing each video.
THE SOLUTION.
The animation style is clean and illustrative, designed to be timeless, warm and welcoming. Characters were created to be abstract and gender neutral to avoid stereotypes. It was all about keeping things inclusive and aligned with BaxterStorey’s commitment to Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging. The videos are fully subtitled for accessibility, and while the voiceover is in English, subtitles were created in multiple languages to support the wider business outside of the UK.
